How do you handle annoying comments from guys who are hitting on you?

I'm curiouse to know how other people respond to this ,because it happens to young women all the time.
If you were walking down the street and a guy started trying to talk to you and he was calling you things like baby and sweetness. How would you take that? Would you be offended, Would you just ignore it. OR if you responded would you respond rudley or politely.

It really depends on the situation you know. If the guy was just mumbling words like that, i would just ignore him and continue walking as if i didn't hear anything at all. But if he acts so really annoying and said some nasty things other than that, then that's the time i'll take action whehter it'll be rude or be plain nice to him. It's really a case to case basis here. (',)
