Family Guy Vs. the Simpsons... whos the best family?

It's hard to say because both shows are great, but I must say that I really am over the Simpsons because I have seen each episode at least 15 times.

Family guy because they have every dynamic covered from world domination to just plain stupidity whereas the Simpsons don't have that complete diversity.

I think family guy is more popular! Because it is much much funny than simpsons! So I think family guy has the best fmaily!

I love both shows. If I had to pick, I'd probably go with the Simpsons, though. I don't know how they are still coming up with good stories after so many years!

As our society's humor evolves it gets harder and harder to determine which is funnier. The Simpsons have more than a whole decade on family guy, which means there was a whole different genre of humour when it started. Also, there were different things to make fun of back then. I love them both but must admit the Family makes me laugh alot harder than the Simpsons. I love the Simpsons though it was brilliant for its time but I think it has reached a point where I can still laugh at the new epsisodes of the Simpsons but don't laugh that hard anymore. Maybe our taste in humor as a society has changed alot since or maybe my taste in humor has changed. Family Guy comedy hits me hard and unexpectedly which is what I look for in a good comedy. I'll leave you with my favorite characters from each series.... (Simpsons) Lou, Chief Wiggum, the scientist, and the comic book guy.... (Family Guy)...Stewie, Peter, and Quagmeyer. Also, let me know the reasons people like Futuramma becasue I can hardly sit through an epsisode, I find the cast of characters uninteresting, especially the main one, Fry. Give me some back up.

simpsons is a classic been around way longer than family guy and is way funnier so my awnser is simpsons

I will have to go with the Griffins. I think the Simpsons have met their match. Family guy is way more funnier and more realistic-like. Their relations with pop culture and flashbacks makes lots of humor.

That's a hard one. The Simpsons have been around forever it seems and are a classic with pushing the humor of good taste. Family Guy goes waaaay beyond the line and that is what makes them so funny. You can't be easily offended to watch these shows. What I love most about family guy is that they take on everyone. The don't pick on the blacks or the gays or the asians(you get the idea). No one is safe, everyone has their day, and there is always a good ole family lesson in there somewhere. Not to mention Stewie! He's the greatest!

The Simpsons are the classic american family....kind of :P I cannot place Family Guy over the simpsons, I mean cmon, the jokes aren't THAT funny, they don't even follow the plot!!! Its as if its written by manatees.... ;) (/South Park)

I think the Simpsons rule over Family Guy, and the Simpsons have Holloween Specials. I find a lot more lovable characters in the Simpsons.

i think simpsons is better cause i just love their social, economical, political and family antics though they're a bit of a classic but i must admit i like family guy too...but the genre of the two is totally the same though people appreciate a fresher take on the subject that's why they like family guy...but simpsons is still the best for me!!!

I prefer the simpsons. The jokes from family guy seems to random to me. Sometimes they put jokes in there just to make jokes. Furthermore, most of the jokes follow the same formula. Another thing I don't like about family guy is that its jokes are disgusting (perhaps I'm just easily offended) or sophomoric. Jokes about body excretions are not funny... Simpson's jokes are more intelligent (I think just because of that). The simpson's jokes satire and parody the world. The people in the simpson's have some integrity. I just don't see that in family guy

The Simpsons are definately THE BEST animated series EVER! Also Family guy is great but it doesn't compare to the 20 years of Simpsons epps!

I think family guy is better, but The simpson is like THE classic, we cant put it to garbage, but i still prefer family guy.
