I cherish my sleep, if you are like me, the kind of person that can't sleep during the day...you hate to be awaken from your precious rest. My husband has finally got it thru his thick scull...LEAVE ME ALONE WHEN I AM SLEEPING!!!!!!!! It took him some years-- but he gets it now. I used to have a problem with insomnia, I am all better now but I want to sleep at night and not be bothered. What about you? I know must men like "relations" in the middle of the night but "sorry for ya"

Many times the only time when we have time to talk or anything else is very late...since I work, I go to bed at a certain time every night...he has insomnia and does not sleep well; but I do not mind if he wakes me up (preferably with a pepsi in his hands)...some of best discussions have occurred in the early hours of the morning. I can understand if you have difficulty sleeping that this may be a problem but I have grown accustom to being wakened up throughout the night; we have raised 3 children to their late 20's and have a 4 yr old, plus have 7 grandchildren so I have learned to sleep when I can and am always available to be woken up if I am needed.

Kynni,
I wish I could "donate" you some compromise....unfortuantely, it is a learned trait...
I appreciate the best response. Thanks so much!

It depends on what he is waking me up for. Honey, here is an extra credit card I took out for you--take it to the limit. Here are two tickets for a trip you have been wanted to go on--take your mother. That sort of thing is OK. Anything else, and he will not get what he wants anyway.

I dont like anyone interrupting my peaceful sleep !! If I dont get my regular sleep, I will be a total wreck the next day.. Well, I guess my husband knows that and so far, He never woke up for any reason..Even if he had to wake up real early to go for a business trip, he would just wake me up to say bye and tells me to go back to sleep...I know he would like to have "relations" in the middle of the night but he always says "why bother you just to make me happy and satisfied..Only interested if you are also awake!....."

I would like it if he woke me up! He is the opposite he rarely ever wakes me! He is probably scared i'd be mad, but I think it's sweet, and I definatly wouldnt mind if relations were involved!

I kinda like it when he wakes me up in the middle of the night because that's when he gives me really good treats and we don't have to sneak around the house and worry about the little children. Other than treats I don't want anyone to wake me up in the middle of the night.

I don't mind as long as i can go back to sleep right away but most of the time i can't go back to sleep if somebody woke me up.Especially right now that i have a baby.I want to sleep, that's all i want.Sometimes if my husband woke me up i will just ignore him until he will give up and leave me alone.Lol.He understand anyway,he know that i'm so tired watching the baby.

I hate to be woken up in the night. I sleep really deep, so unless one of the kids cry out I'm hard to wake up. If he did it just for "relations" I would be a little irate. On the other hand, I know he could care less so, if I'm awake in the middle of the night I feel free to wake him up in ways he finds enjoyable. I bet he wishes I had insomnia more often.

My husband works at a bakery and has to start work at 3am six days a week. I need my sleep but I also need a kiss from him before he leaves and to tell him I love him so he never leaves without kissing me. We have been married for almost five years now and you just get used to it. On top of this I have a son who is almost four but still wakes in the middle of the night on occasion and used to wake several times due to his autism and wakes up very early!
Yes, there are times I am tired! But we do what we have to do for our families. :)

I enjoy my sleep as much as the next person, but no, I don't mind, because we never know if it will be our last time together. He's in law enforcement, and if he wants to wake me up.........go right ahead, if it's just to talk about something or for anything else.

My husband wouldn't wake me up in the middle of the night. It just hasn't occurred to him, mostly because he thinks I need to sleep more.

Actually I wouldnt mind at all. Sometimes I need to talk and he doesnt mind me waking him up so its no problem if he wakes me up for some mid-night nookie or anything else.
