What's worse: Giving no tip, or giving a few pennies to a bad waiter/waitress?

The worse time I was served in a restaurant I actually left 5 pennies on the table even if the waitress didn't even deserve one ...I had never been so mad of the way I was treated ! If really made me ferious ! I thought it would be worse to leave ger a few pennies ...showing that I really had thought of only giving her 5 pennies for the service ...
DO you think it would have been worse to leave her NOTHING? No tip/gratuity at all ??

i am not going to give any tip at all. sorry but it is not worth it. if she cant stay friendly with costumers better get another job. i always come across waiter/waitress who are just plain pain in head. and i ended up talking to the manager of leaving the place and never come back to that place.

I always tip on a sliding scale.
Once we were going to leave them 5 cents SHORT, but decided to toss in a dime, so we tipped 5 cents for 10 of us.
Then my friend felt bad and put $2-4 more on the table, but yeah the service was bad.
Generally, I don't go under 5% or over 15%.
