have u ever been holded a guilt for ruining someone relationship??

i once saved a buddy from making the biggest mistake of his life, does that count?

I wasn't accused exactly but I know I did. It wasn't on purpose either. See at the time my ex-husband and my s/o were using the same preprogrammed messages on their answering machines. I hit what I thought was my s/o's number on speed dial. He wasn't home so I left a message that said basically "Hi, honey! Guess you've already left. If you haven't I'll meet you there. Can't wait to see you. I love you!" (there were a few other little comments that would be inappropriate to put here) Well I'd called my ex by mistake and left that on his answering machine. (I didn't realize I'd switched their numbers around on speed dial for a few weeks later, that's why I didn't bother fessing up), So anyway unbeknown to me my ex had gone out that night with friends but left his girlfriend at home. So she's the one that got my message and thought he'd lied to her about where he was going. When he got home she accused him of cheating and they broke up over it. At the time I wasn't talking to him much and didn't know about it until a few weeks later (when I did try to call him and got my s/o instead and realized their numbers were mixed up).

My brothers' now ex wife blamed me for their split. Their marriage was having problems when they came to stay with me. I stayed out of it till one day she slapped my then 4 year old niece because she asked for help taking off a pair of buckle sandals.I yelled at her that she had no right to hit a child for asking for help. I knew that she was really upset because my brother was working alot of overtime so that they could save up the money for their own place. Since I told my brother about her slapping the child hard enough to leave a mark he through her out. So I guess it was my fault in a way.
