I am among those who switch it off only if reminded. I am a very forgetful person. Therefore, if there are stickers to remind me to put my cellphone off for some reason, I will surely comply with it. No bother there.

I do switch off my mobile phone and so my husband too whenever we are on a gas stations, in airoplane and especially in a hospital. Because it can interfere their electronic equipment...and can be dangerous as well...

I only switch off if I remember or see the sign to switch off my mobile. I take particular precaution when I am visitng the hospitals as it would be detrimental if the signals affecting any life saving devices. I see no reason why I show switch off my mobile in banks. Why should I be switching it off and then forget to switch it on again when I leave the premises. I only do things which I feel is logical. LOL.

Definitely, I will, this is a general rule. Technically, if there are no call, it will have less influence to the instruments there, when there happens to be a call, it may be very dangerous for the patient with some special electric instruments.

I switch off my cel phone when I load gasoline. But, when at places like "Bank" or "Hospitals" I do not switch it off, I just put my phone on "Silent". You yourself have to be prudent enough to know when to switch it off and when could you be fine by putting it on silent.
