I actually just finished reading this book. I think it's a great book for beginners, it's very easy to understand. I will probably look into some real estate books as well to get a broader knowledge of how he uses real estate to make money.
I also agreed with him when he says that personal finance should be taught in schools. People would be so much better off if they just took the time to read a few books like this. They wouldn't have to live off of borrowed money from credit cards and loans.
I look forward to reading his other books.

I totally agree with you CRNbread101, reading stuff like this should be mandatory in high schools at least if nothing else. It helps you so much!

I read it very recently, so it hasn't had a huge impact on me yet, which is only natural, since not so much time has passed yet. But it made me think a lot, and question many of the choices I have made previously, which is great alone!

Rich dad Poor dad made a tremendous impact on my life because everything he wrote about I was already feeling and for someone like him to validate that was huge.

Yes it did! It made a great impact that I started researching real estate right away! It also changed my view on how money works and how money is not evil. The book showed me how the rich people think - Buy assets and let your assets buy your luxuries. Funny thing is, when we play video games (like SGs), this is how we play the game. For example - starcraft, we first buy SCVs which allows us to gain more minerals... we do not but expensive stuff right away... we buy assets and let the assets work for us... We do these stuff in games but never realize that it is what is needed to succeed in real life. Another big lesson I learned in this book is not to be afraid to make mistakes because it is the correct way of learning! It is how nature teaches.
