But I'm not exactly sure how to go about it. I know that I need to get in touch with the Alzheimer's association to get them to sponsor my project. I want to have the benefit somewhere in Virginia. My goal is to raise $200,000 for research. The ball/gala is for the Alzheimer's residents, that they may get out on the dance floor and get a chance to dance the night away and live the excitement and joy of dancing. But I need support. Does anyone have feedback?

Start with local businesses for donations. This could include space for the dance, food, monetary donations, or even decorations, etc...You would be surprised what they will give. Also, start calling local bands or djs and ask for the best they can do price wise. You may find someone willing to donate that to you as well. Once you have done that, assess what else you need. One thing is to enlist people to help you. Make up some committees and get them working with you. I want to commend you on this as my father has Alzheimers and you are awesome for thinking of an often forgotten group. Best wishes !!
