No cooking on the weekend. I cook the whole week, so cooking on the weekend would be the last thing that I wanna do, except for a special occassion. Most of the time, I have prepared the food one day before weekend. So I can just relax and enjoy my weekend.
Asking my husband to cook on the weekend is not a good idea, too since he's kinda cook magician. He makes more mess in the kitchen than cooking and afterward I'll be missing couple of kitchen stuff....
Do you cooking on the weekend, too ????? Or you just simply order take away, or go to a restaurant/ fast food, or your partner/ children will do the cooking for you ???

My husband has declared that on weekends are "MUM's Not Cooking Days!". This is his ways of showing his gratitude to me for looking after everyone during weekdays. Just like you, I would cook from Mondays to Fridays. Unless, we have relatives coming over, then I would do some cooking. We would normally eat out at a restaurant or fastfood. This is our way of bonding with our children too. If we don't go out, we would normally call for delivery and watch a movie together at home......:

My hubby and I are both retired so except for going to church on a Sunday every day is much the same . I sometimes freeze some soup if I have made extra and if I make a meat dish I make extra potatoes and make a shepherds pie for another day , so if we go for a drive I always have something in the freezer , My hubby isn't a good cook but he is brilliant at the washing up , and to me that is the worst job , I do so hate washing dishes lol xx

Cooooooooool. You are lucky & over-smart who takes rest on the weekend. My Mom cooks at our home anf instead of taking rest, She has to work more in the kitchen on weekend bcuz all members r at home that day & want to eat their favourite dish on weekend & all have different choices. So, My Mom has to cook more dishes on weekend than other days.

That's exactly what my mom did...I know she didn't mind but I'd love to see her also sitting with everbody and enjoying the weekend without have to worry about what are we going to eat nor cooking. That's why, now I'm a mom too and I try to break that tradition. I think every mom deserves that....

Weekend if not travelling overseas, will be a cooking session for me. Saturday morning will be spent marketing for the wholeweek. Normal day, I will cook simple dish before going to work. Weekend will always be more than one dishes. Breakfast, lunch, teatime and dinner. If my other siblings informed that they will be coming, I tend to cook more variety. If not I only cook what people at home requested. It will normally be non rice receipe. I just loves to cook and manipulate on the receipe or invent new receipe for the weekend as it can be a very therapeutic for me to destress over workload from the office.

My husband does the cooking on the weekends :) We eat in a lot cos' it's so expensive to eat out so we cook as much as possible and eat at home even on the weekends. But occasionally, we would have a lunch outside on the weekends especially if we're already out and about. Sometimes we do a drive-thru and sometimes we just order a pizza when we're too lazy to cook.

Sorry to hear that the water cut off. Hope it works again...I know how difficult without running water - happened to me too, twice. On the other hand, it is nice since it gives you a chance to have a break from cooking.
Thank you for sharing your story !!!

Hmm... no. I prefer to buy outside foods. Normally if i don't go out then we'll cook instant noodles. Weekend is the day to relax..... no cooking... no housekeeping.... )except if we go to our parent's house...hehehe..)

No cooking on the weekend. What a concept. Since my husband hates leftovers, and I really don't blame him, I've learned through the years to cook enough for two people at one sitting (unless of course I'm cooking for a group).
We usually begin our day with juice and coffee. Then, along about 10am, we have a breakfast sandwich or burrito. This usually holds us over until supper when I prepare a light but filling dinner. By 8pm we usually have a small late night snack.
It keeps from having leftovers and cuts down on the grocery bill as well. A take out order for us usually lasts for 2 meals the way we eat.

I don't cook myself. My Mum is the cook in the house. We normally have our own activities in the weekends so she isn't usually home anyway. So we just order takeaways for those who are at home. Or for those who are outside, we will eat out of course. ;-)

I live alone in a paying house in Jakarta, far away from my homevillage Kenteng, Nanggulan, Kulonprogo, Jogjakarta, Indonesia....
Good news, I've just bought tools to cook to save my money. This weekend I promise to myself: I must cook something special on this weekend, just to celebrate the moment. I must thank God, finally I could buy the tools by my own earnings.
Oh ya... by posting this response to you, I'll reach my 100 points from myLot!
Thank God again...!
Best regards... Have a nice weekend...

We cook on the weekends. On Saturdays we usually cook something that is fast and easy, like put a frozen pizza in the oven. But on Sundays we make a big dinner. Some Fridays we don't cook, we usually eat leftovers or takeouts. But during the week we don't make big meals.
