I have been a buyer and a seller on Ebay for a few years. I like to buy books mostly. Sometimes earrings. I only purchase from the USA. As far as me selling, I sold worldwide. Mostly Americans, England and Canada purchased. Mostly because of the customs and delays. Good luck my friend.

thanks for your comments! I am also thinking about the delay of shipping. Just as what you said, Most of us wanna buy something with a good quality and fast receipt. that's really a problem. maybe I should choose something made in China which is Chinese traditional products and not available outside of China. Shipping is really time consuming, and if I were you, I also choose those fast stuffs. I need to consider that problem carefully. By the way, I have been to your shop on Ebay, and maybe I would buy something from you shop in the future!^_^ have a great day! my friend!

ya, thanks for your list! I will consider about those kind of products, but I don't know if you would choose oversea goods by shipping. I am in China, and many world brand digital products have their manufactories in China. Do you wanna buy those "made in China" products. if you do, I would provide some details in my Ebay shop. but now it is still unavailable, and I am just prepareing for that! have a nice day!!

Wow, I'm glad to see we have Mylot members from China. I sell on eBay more than I buy. But I do buy sometimes and it's mostly clothing like Gap jeans, Coach leather handbags and Cole Haan shoes. I don't care if they are a little used as long as they are good quality and in good condition. I don't know yet what would be best coming from China but there is probably plenty and eBay definitely wants to open up the Asian markets. I've sold a lot to buyers in Japan but so far not to China. I'd be interested in purchasing things that are distinctly Chinese and can't be purchased in the US....No knock offs.

ya,irisheyes, really thanks for your comments! you are a seller on Ebay, and I think you must have got many experiences on how to sell on Ebay. expecting some more tips on that! I do plan to sell some distinctly Chinese traditional products which can't be purchased in other countries. I think I should take advantage of the "Made in China". if you don't mind, I wanna add you in my friend list,so I can learn more from you. Thanks again!! have a great day!!

I usually but whatever comes to mind at the time, which is usually clothes. I usually buy petite women's clothing. Sometimes I buy shoes though too. I just recently bought a wirless mouse off ebay. It worked great until I broke the reciever for it yesterday. But I have to say, if you are planning on selling on ebay, I think anything will sell good. There will always be someone out there looking for what you have to sell. Just be sure to type in all the keywords relating to your item. For example, if you are selling a new pair of pants, I'd type in the the search words: pants, new, size 10(assuming they are size 10), or even Levi(or whatever brand they are). Good luck selling, I too am getting started on ebay.

I buy a wide variety of products on eBay, but I have to say, I don't buy from overseas sellers (I'm in the US). Too many of the auctions by overseas sellers, particularly Asia, are scams and people never get the item they bought. It's unfortunate for those who ARE honest sellers, but I for one won't take the chance. I can always find a seller who is located in the US selling the same thing. As far as the items, I buy hairsticks, cell phone faceplates, jewelry, computer parts, software, books, and sometimes clothing.

hi, sapphiresage! really thanks for your comments! I do know many buyers are worried about the credit of oversea sellers, and indeed there are many scams. but it is not me. I also hate scams because I have come across that before. So I would never do that! Also, I wanna put some snapshot of my products in my mylot profile, so my friends can have a look. if they are intersted in my products, I would like to give them a discount! Also, I wanna sell some products made in China, especially some traditional Chinese stuffs. maybe some friend would like to buy them. Really thanks for your response! have a great day!

I buy clothing, make up, collectibles from my husband's favorite college basketball team, infant goods, and many other items on ebay. The thing that determines whether I will make a purchase from a seller is their shipping and handling practices/charges and their feedback. I really dislike being gouged on shipping. I once bought a single basketball card and the person wanted 4 dollars to ship it. I questioned whether it would be priority shipping for that large amount and they said no! I had no choice but to pay it as I had won the bid. They put the card between two thin pieces of cardboard and put it in a regular envelope and spent 55 cents to mail the card, yet charged me 4 dollars. Needless to say, I won't buy from that seller again!

No, I haven't bought any product from ebay yet. I may try it later. I just don't feel comfortable dealing with sellers who I am not sure whether they are honest sellers or not. Do you have any suggestion?

ya, thanks for your response! just feel free to buy on Ebay. you know, most of the sellers are honest, and the scams are minority. if you have not tried it, you will never know whether or not it is true. I have bought a T-shirt online, and I feel it's okay and convenient! Just believe me, and when my Ebay store is online, you can go there and have a look. I'll give all my friends from mylot a big discout! have a great day!!

When I'm on ebay I'm usually trying to find a better deal on other more expensive items that I can find for cheap on other websites such as a digital camera, dread falls, clothes, and DVD sets (like both seasons of Lost).

I have bought several really nice items from Chinese sellers, but the big problem is that most of them ask way too much money for shipping, even with small items. If you could sell items, but remain honest about the shipping costs while keeping them reasonable then that would be great! I buy a variety of items from ebay, clothes, Lush products, food, items for in the house (like Chinese lantarns!).

really thanks for your advices! I do know the shipping fee is a big problem for our oversea seller. I would consider your advice to have a check about the shipping costs because I am just prepareing for my Ebay store and still haven't too much knowledge about the shipping costs. But I am sure I would be honest and I would never ask a higher shipping fee just for more profits. I think that's not a wise way for a seller. I'd rather make less profits than cheat my custumers to pay higher shipping costs. Believe me! Hope you would go to my small store when it is online. All the friends from Mylot would get a big discount!^_^ have a great day!

I am a regular buyer of items on eBay, but most of what I buy has to do either with things for my stamp collection, books (which I would not buy from a foreign seller because of the cost of shipping), or now and then handmade arts and crafts that I tend to give away as gifts. I have also been an eBay seller for almost nine years, and my experience is that it works best to pick some particular category of product and do it very well, so you get a reputation for it, instead of trying to sell all sorts of different products that are not related. I wish you much success with your eBay business!

Some things are good to buy on eBay, others not so much. For some items, you really need to see them in person, unless you have an exact idea of what you're looking for (in my opinion). I rarely, if ever buy clothes or similar type items. Usually movies or automotive parts, or unique items to add to my various collections.

Broadaxes I love em can't even say why sometimes I buy one, like 200 years old or so, for like $15, when it arrives I hold it and cry I can feel what it built, who owned it, etc. How strong the owner of it was, right or lefty, his attituse on life, his trials and tribulations. ANd if he was gay, or if a woman owned it, etc., anyway , it makes me cry I just like em.

We buya variety on things on eBay. Baby clothing, books, electronic things, ink cartridges, yarn. Shipping can be very expensive on heavier items, so shy away from heavy things. But everything sells oneBay. Good luck!

When I shop at Ebay it can be for PDA's cameras, books, software/video games, and really any sort of electronics. I have also gotten culty stuff like Star Gate gear, as well as plain old weird stuff like Rock Tumblers. That is the nice thing about Ebay, you never know what is going to be on there. Oh, yes, and I also got a lot of stuff for my bike, like lights, horns, gear like that, and some plants and seeds.

I tend to buy shoes and make-up most often on ebay. I know the brands which I like and I tend to stick with them since I know I am getting. I have a major shoe problem, and ebay is just another outlet where I can satisfy that need, at a bargain price. :)

I tend to buy cosmetics and computer gadgets on ebay. I would be interested in buying from China if the postage and packing to England was no so high, it kinda out ways the bargain of a price the product is being sold at, so I tend to stick to UK sellers for that reason.

I am an active member of Ebay, I do selling and buying stuff from it. But most of the item, I purchase beauty products on the internet cause its more cheap than in the department store. I have bought few shoes too and some clothings. Cellphones would be a great item to sell on the internet especially if you have a great package deal for it. And some people sell homemade products too. =D
