Sounds quick and easy~ I've seen these at church buffet dinners and see family members make these to go along with breakfast or a brunch. The turkey should make for a good lower fat choice! THanks~

Yes, it does. I just love these because they will go with anything, and they're easy to make.

Well a snack now for one of his breaks. I was wondering what kind of appetizer type things would pack well. Now here they are. Thanks again for sharing a recipe that is easy and portable. Thanks also for sharing it with all of Mylot.

These are great for breakfast as well. Pair them up with some eggs. I like this recipe because it's just so versatile. You can use it for breakfast, as an appetizer, a snack or even throw them into spagetti !!

They are so good and so easy. You can use them for almost any meal too. Sometimes I use Italian sausage instead of plain pork sausage, and put them in spagetti sauce and make meatball subs or spaghetti with them.

That is how my mom makes them and how she taught me to make them. I love sausage balls! But because of the fat content, they are pretty much a once a year pleasure. But it is a great recipe for anyone waning a treat, or wanting to get their kids interested in cooking.

Have you tried using turkey sausage instead of pork? It will cut down on the fat so much. I didn't particularly like the taste at first, but after a while, I've gotten used to it, and it is ok.
If you can get fresh venison sausage, it has almost NO fat.

I didn't really like venison either..until I married my husband and his grandmother taught me to cook it correctly. When it's prepared and cooked right, you can't taste the difference in beef and deer. Deer has almost no fat, and is better for you than beef.

Did you try them? I made some the other night, left out the cheese and added them to spaghetti for meatballs. They were delicious.

I have a Chocolate Fountain...that you can also put barbecue sauce in. It is a hit at parties. I make these, and put them on toothpicks for the barbecue fountain.
