Do you remember any memorable childhood event ?

Learning cycling is an memorable event in everyone's life. The sweet memories of falling from the bicycle while balancing linger on in my mind even now. That too when the cycle slants on the right-hand side, you feel that the entire earth is slipping under your feet! Has anyone got any such childhood experience ?

I have many, because my generation was a pretty exciting one.
It was also a dangerous time for the world..
I remember the Bay of Pigs..The Cuban missile crisis that took the world to the brink of nuclear war.
I remember the day John Kennedy was assassinated.
I remember Martin Luther King being assassinated.
I remember Robert Kennedy being assassinated.
I remember Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle. Juan Marichel and Sandy Koufax.
I remember Woodstock and Vietnam and the Beatles and Elvis and the Beach Boys.
It was such an amazing time to grow up in...
Now it is all Iraq and terrorists. Pretty boring.
