well the responses i get for my discussions i generally rate and if in someone elses discussion i come across an exceptionally well written response i do rate it with a +ve..
i find it really hard to give a -ve.. so responses i dont rate +ve, i just leave them unrated..
do you rate the responses??

I would have loved to, but I like asking silly questions and questions people would jab me in the eye with paperclips if I ever asked them in real life. If I give ratings, I rate honestly, perhaps even cuttingly. That won't do me much good because I'm sure I'd only scare people away.

I always rate in the discussions I start and choose best answers. I usually rate in posts that I respond to as well, as I think rating is an important part of mylot.

I rate in two ways. For every discussion i respond to i give a plus rating. First of all, because if it has got my attention it is worth it, and secondly, because it provides an excellent reference for later, if i see a discussion has been rated, i know i have already replied and can quickly move on.
The second way I rate is to rate all replies. I generally will only ever give plus ratings. I give negative ratings if the answer is one word or has nothing to do with the question.
If an answer is offensive or commits site abuse i simply report it to mylot.
Blessed be

I rate peoples responses to my questions most of the time (depending on how much time I have to spend online). I don't usually rate questions that I answer or answers that people have given to other questions unless it is a topic that I am VERY interested in.

I rate all responses and discussions that I answer to, and I think all people should do the same. I don't give a + only to an exceptionally well written response, but I give it to one that I find interesting, funny, or that has an information that helps me. I also give negative ratings, but not very often. I only give it to one line responses, or to discussions that doesn't make any sense. I think that by rating the responses and discussions, you improve myLot, because you encourage people too post more often and to make good quality posts. So, go ahead and rate my response!

Well I rate all the discussions I reply to. I will give a negative to any I report as being against the guidelines (this way I know I reported them and won't do it more then once)
In other peoples dicussions I rate ones that really stand out. I give (+) to those that really give a good response to. I will give a (-) if it's an off topic or generic response like "I don't do that". I will report any that are really off topic, like they are copying/pasting in a general phrase.
In my own discussions I rate everyone. The only time I don't is if it's a one sentence answer, then I won't give it anything. I rate everyone else with a positive. If they thought enough to respond with a decent response (even if I don't agree with it) I will rate them positively.

I try to rate everything I read. Obviously I rate all responses to my discussions and I always pick a best response. I noticed that once I started doing this my earnings went up. But if I go into someone else's discussion I rate all the responses that I read through.

I try to do as many as I can remember to do, sometimes you are so busy typing away you forget, but I am getting better at it now. I also find it hard to put a negative so I just leave without putting anything. I haven't really come across many who I would need to do this for.

This is one of the cases where I give negative ratings, when a person only answers "noooooooo".
