Do you always use shampoo when you wash kid's hair?

One of my friend told me it is not good to use shampoo each time when you wash kid's hair. She said it might hurt young kid's hair. And once or twice a week will be enough. Is it right?

For newborns you can go every other day without washing their hair just because they are little and the soap everyday might be a little harsh, but some people do every day with no problems. For older kids, I would definatly wash the hair with shampoo each time. I don't think once or twice a week is enough.

I prefer my hair wavy, because my face is small and fuller hair better frames my face. I think that Philippine women prefer straight hair not so much for that style, but I think that they have thicker hair shafts overall. I have a natural wavy hair that I am sick about. I wanted a new look so I had my hair rebounded lately. I am loving it so far and enjoying it. I am a lot more confident with my long straight hair now.
