What is the best family vacation you went on as a child?

When I was a kid, we didn't take big expensive vacations. We'd all pile in the car and my parents would plan a route that would take us to all sorts of different little attractions. Sometimes there would be cool educational or historical destinations, and sometimes they'd be more amusement-oriented, like going to Hershey, Pennyslvania.
What was the best vacation you went on as a kid?

When I was 12 we all went to Disneyland and Knottsberry Farm in California. We had an absolute blast! We were all old enough to enjoy it and remember it! We were at Disneyland for a week I believe and then Knottsberry farm for 1 day. The log at Knottsberry Farm was the best! We stayed at this Motel really, really close to Disneyland and it had the best little bitty Homemade buiscuts in the restaraunt! They were just the best, they were about the size of a 50 cent peice and tall! It just brings back really good memories!

Often, when I lived in Detroit, we would go to Mackinac Island. Some people may be familiar with it because they filmed "Somewhere in Time" on it. It's between the lower and upper peninsula of the state. What was fun about it is that there were no cars allowed on the island. You had to get around by horses or bike. It was kinda neat when we stayed overnight and could hear the clip-clop of horses on the street rather than cars.

our family did that too. i think the best vacation i remember is where went traveled into northern california and got to go whitewater rafting! that was awesome, then we headed further north, to visit the redwoods and do some camping and salmon fishing. after that we went to a safari style park in Oregon.
it was a fantastc trip!

It's odd you should ask that. I was watching a comic tonight who said "You know Mississippi sucks because you never hear anyone say 'Hey, my vacation is coming up. I could really use two weeks in Biloxi." I realized I actually have done that. My parents took us to the beach in Biloxi when we were kids and we took a boat out to Ship Island. We also did the typical redneck trip to Branson, Mo., to visit Silver Dollar City. That was back when SDC was the only attraction there and you watched 1800s-era craftsmen do their thing. Both of those vacations were kind of cool back then.

The best for me!
Is when we go through boracay! I love boracay,because it has its white sand.But I didn't know what it looks now,because my last vacation in boracay isduring my graduation in highschool!I also love many place in the hidden paradise! i got there when i'm still 14!I love it!!!!!!
