I don't think it will happen. That time the world stop revolving. I may say that if the world still revolve on its axis, snow will form always on north pole and south pole. But , what the scientist say is for thewarning for us to stop using gasoline and diesel for fuel. Let us try this and the world will have normal CO2 in atmosphere. Now for the alternate fuel is the wind and solar energy. We will not die if we don't ride our car. And we can cook our food without LPG. Just from hydroelectric power plant.

Global warming is observed increase in th average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation.Scientists have stated with 66-90% cenfidence that the effects of volcanic and human-caused aerosols have offset some of global warming, and that greenhouse gases would have resulted in more warming than observed if not for this effect. This thing will incread atmospheric CO2 and it will be dissolved int eh oceans. Carbon dioxide gas dissolved in the ocean reacts with water to form carbonic acid resulting in ocean acidification. Since biosystems are adapted to a narrow range of pH (acid level), this is a serious concern directly driven by increased atmospheric CO2 and not global warming. Other thing is the ice melt, the icebergs will be melt and the ocean level will up. Invading the coast and destroying big important citys in the world.

Well, how to prevent this?

Rising global temperatures will speed the melting of glaciers and ice caps, and cause early ice thaw on rivers and lakes. According to NASA, the polar ice cap is now melting at the alarming rate of nine percent per decade. Arctic ice thickness has decreased 40 percent since the 1960s. If this situations continue, many lowlying countries will be flooded and kept under the sae in the future.

Our pier is almost leveled to the highest tide way back 90's. But now they constructed a higher pier.

Global temperatures increased by about 1 degree Fahrenheit over the course of the last century, and will likely rise even more rapidly in coming decades. The cause is due to a thickening layer of carbon dioxide pollution, mostly from power plants and automobiles, that traps heat in the atmosphere. Average temperatures will rise, as will the frequency of heat waves, warmer temperatures could also increase the probability of drought. Greater evaporation, particularly during summer and fall, could exacerbate drought conditions and increase the risk of wildfires, warmer temperatures increase the energy of the climatic system and lead to more intense rainfall at some times and in some areas,More frequent and more intensive heat waves could result in more heat-related deaths. These conditions could also aggravate local air quality problems.Global warming is expected to increase the potential geographic range and virulence of tropical diseases as well.Warmer water in the oceans pumps more energy into tropical storms, making them more intense and potentially more destructive.Rising global temperatures will speed the melting of glaciers and ice caps, and cause early ice thaw on rivers and lakes.Current rates of sea-level rise are expected to increase as a result both of thermal expansion of the oceans and of partial melting of mountain glaciers and the Antarctic and Greenland ice caps. Consequences include loss of coastal wetlands and barrier islands, and a greater risk of flooding in coastal communities, low lying areas are especially vulnerable. The increase in global temperatures is expected to disrupt ecosystems and result in loss of species diversity, as species that cannot adapt die off. The first comprehensive assessment of the extinction risk from global warming found that more than one million species could be committed to extinction by 2050 if global warming pollution is not curtailed.

Global warming sure is a challenge for scientists. The results of can be many dramatic as many islands of the world can sink under sea. The ice glaciers melting is increasing the sea level.

I think there r many chance to happen.many places like usa, netherland, india vl be affected.there is some ways to stop also.but all the pepole must do it.the snows all r melting and there vl be increase in the sea level.we should not use car.we should use the transport which the government allocates

good suggestion, but we have to be vigilant and do what is right.
