All over the country people refer to it as pop, soda, soda pop, and soft-drinks. Where I'm from, which is Pennsylvania we call it pop. What do you call it where you're from?

I grew up in North Carolina and no matter which soft drink one was speaking of they said, "Coke." I had never heard the terms 'soda' or 'pop.' My husband moved to North Carolina from Pennsylvannia and I met and married him. He had never heard it called 'Coke' and had always used the term 'soda.' We now live in Kentucky and everyone here calls it 'pop' (which for some reason makes me twinge). My children use 'Coke' as we do in our house.

I am in Texas and we call it Coke here. We say soda, too...but usually it's just a generic "coke". LOL

It's a coke in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. We laught at people who call it a pop or soda. When my husband goes to the store I say, "Get me a coke while your out." and he will always say, "What kind of coke?"
