Makeovers. Do people that get them really want one?

I was getting a hair cut and I asked the hair stylist if people ever came in to the salon and requested to change their look and then after they get it they start to cry. She stated that she has had people come in and tell her that they want to change their look completely and once she has started they start crying because they regret to change the way they look. Then we started discussing about the people that go into the shows for some makeovers and then they decide that they don't like it and they want to go back to the way they looked. Or when they come in to redesign a part of their room and they hate the way it looks and want it changed back. Why go into these shows just to cry about going back to the way it looked before? Or why do people signed people up if they know that the particular person being made over doesn't really adapt well to changes?

You would think that they would want it but I have seen some shows that the people start to cry because they did not like the way it turned out. What's the point if they are just going to go back to the way they looked.
