Do you get along with your in-laws?

I knwo the whole cliche is that no one gets along with in-laws for whatever reason....do you get along with them? Most of the time I do, but I have to admit my mother-in-law really rubs me the wrong way a lot fo the time. I know she means well, but at times she drives me nuts!! It's little things like everytime we see her, she tells me what I'm doing wrong with MY child. 'You should do this, Natalie did that..' or whatever, and she compares me to how her daughter raises her children! It just drives me so mad, I want to scream! I don't mind being compare to my own sister, but being compared to my husbands sister just bothers me! I'm sure she is doing a perfectly good job with her kids, but that doesn't mean I have to treat mine the same way! Yesterday was a huge fight. She stopped by, and my daughter had wind. So she went down the chemist and tried to medicate my child. I went off! I know I may have over reacted, and most of her advice I pretend to listen to and then disregard, but how dare she try to give my child medication without my consent! That is a decision for my husband and I to make - not her. Wouldn't you know, I did things my way and brought the wind up without any need for medication. I just wish she would respect the fact that I am an individual and am going to do things a different way to her and her daughter. Why can't she just deal with that! Hubby has no problem with my way, so whats the problem!
