Has anyone noticed how poor customer service has gotten in the past 5 years? Employees working behind the counters are talking or texting on their cell phones, laughing at their friends and basically ignoring the paying customer. Its annoying! I just wonder if managers are aware of the lack of customer service their employees are providing. I have started to fill out surveys and ask for employees names. Can you imagine what customer service will be like in 5 more years?

I agree I hate to go to Walmart sometimes. The girls at the cash registers are sometimes so rude. I have a hard time sometimes my body don't move as fast to get the bags off of the counter and my hands get shakey due to having multiple sclrosis but I get dirty looks. So I agree 100 percent with you.

I have only seen good customer services, face to face, I think some of people are a little fake with it, it took me a long time to get used to the pleasantries which was never the norm here in Australia in past years, so I can't complaing with what I have come across.

I think customer service, now.. is about dealing with people, rather than helping people.
They just try to calm you down and get you to hang up or go away.. without showing any personal interest.
You would think that these people would get trained appropriatly, so that buisness would improve. Rather, the lack of helpfulness.. is just leading to a decline in customer loyalty.
