One of the tricks that helps is crouch jumping. It is specially helpful when u are against an awper. If you run and appear in front of him and he is a good awper 95/100 u are going down. if you crouch jump the possibility of the bullet hitting u reduces and if it hits, it hits ur leg and u are left with 16 health. and u can get that guy by the time his awp reloads.
One good practice is run-stop-shoot-run-strafe with rifles. this does not let ur opponent's aim stabilize. Its hard initially but once u are thorough with this u can see the difference in ur game.
A bad practise is crouch and shoot (or stand still and shoot)
Please feel free to post such tricks and tips that can help all improve their game.

i totally agree with first two of your tips/tricks
but sorry i am not convinced with the third one.
for the first one i try to first apper against a magger for moment and bac.he will obvious ly fire one ,And now it is time for you .till the time he actually load another bullet or switches from pistol /knife to asp you can try to catch him .
2)abt sec waht i can say is one needs a lot of practice
3)i prefer to shooot while crouching
and it helps me a lot .
what others thing i do is like shooting one or 2 bullets just by anticipating the person position
what i mean is just having a proper map sense .when crossing some corner you can use this trick and shoot before hand just by anticipating as if there is man there it has too be in that position only .for ex in dust 2 when u come from mid as terrorist u can shoot straight at the corner or to ur right ,towards a long he might be just waiting at that position etc

nice suggestion! I try sometimes anticipating but I think i am not that good an anticipator.....but yes it sure works out for me.
as far as crouch and shoot is concerned, well maybe its person to person preference.

ya it is person to person preference.anyway i am not saying that i am gud at anticipating ,i just mean to say that if one has gud map sense it always helps and there are many times u can just know where the other person may be exactly like where would u position urself if u are in that team.i would also add that though diff for me till now seeing radar and able to judge from that is really gud .YOU will atleast know where ur friends are and where the activities going on and ofcourse no team kills becoz of friendly fire
