should your child fend for himself when he comes of age?

it is normal for youngsters to want to live on their own when they feel they are old enough. it is also very usual for parents to think that their children can fend for themselves when they are already of age. this is very common in western cultures. they usually allow their kids to be independent when they reach 18. if you had children, would you like the idea of letting them live on their own when they come of legal age?

I do not agree to this . The right thing is for my kid to be independent after finishing college. and after college i'll still be checking on him from time to time but i will be respecting his/her decisions. i will just gim him/her advises and its up to him/her to take it or not. but when i see his/her path is going somewhere that its not suppose to be. definitely i'll correct him/her. Parents should be the guide to their children. I will be with my kids till i die.
