General discussion or Manage interest on MyLot

I like to put my discussions under interest categories. I find that I meet more new people that way. If I put my discussions under "general discussion" my friends will find it and respond to it, but not many other people will. I'm not sure why it works that way for me, but that's how it seems to be.
