What happened to me over Easter (Oestara) ...

was that I ended up in hospital twice with a mystery allergy right out of the blue! This was so weird and it came out of nowhere. I don't suffer from allergies normally so to come up in nasty itchy bad, bad hives twice in 2 days was a bit of a shock to the system.
Now I have to take antihistamines (2 different sorts) and steroids/anti-inflammatories and make an appointment to see my GP after Oestara for a referral to an allergy testing centre.
What's funny is that I had to get a taxi home from hospital this afternoon and the taxi driver was one of those chatty types. He asked me if i'd been visiting someone in hospital or if I was there for a problem with myself. I told him the story and man, did that start him off. He told me his story of how when he was a boy he started suffering from all sorts of allergies to everything. He has to inhale steroids, which have side effects if taken too often and also take antihistamines. What a co-incidence!Has anyone else suffered an extreme reaction to something or other and if so what was it. Do you have an allergy to peanuts, dust mites or anything bizarre? Love to hear all about it! lol

Hi my friend, I really do hope you are fine now. As for me I can't recall any allergic reactions from any substance up to date hope not in the future lol!!
But my sister was so sensitive to fish and chicken that in a tiny bite she will have allergic reactions that's why she really get rid of chicken but somewhat tempted to taste sometimes.
I think those medications are really effective and in no time your allergy will be healed.

Hi Maribel. Glad you don't suffer from anything like this, but your poor sister - fish and chicken eh? Unusual! If I eat anything at all now I come up in a reaction. So will have to wait a few days until I can get a GP's appointment for a referral. I'm dying to know what I'm allergic to - it's a mystery to me as to what it could be. Thanks so much for responding my friend! lol

No I don't Feral, But I have to say I hope you are alright. You don't have any idea what started it? How awful on a holiday to. God Bless Taxi Drivers. Sometimes they are just special people. I hope your evening now gets better.

Hello Angelwhispers. No idea what started it, but it seems now that if I eat anything at all I will have a reaction within a short while. I'm too scared to eat! Taxi drivers are amazing people. There was one in the news today, who stopped to rescue a man from a burning car. He saved the man's life and whilst doing so, some idiot broke into his unattended taxi and robbed him of his takings. How evil is that? Thanks so much for responding lol
