Many people love to eat fruits. It's the most natural way of keeping oneself healthy. Fruits not only boost our resistance. Some have therapeutic effects on a lot of illnesses. Among the fruits available locally, the avocado (Persea americana) is my most disliked fruit. It reminds me so much of slimy, green, bacteria-infected mucous. *gag gag gag* Am I the only one? How about you? Is there any fruit you absolutely don't like to eat? Why is that? Thanks in advance to all. Have a great day!

I like avocados, but they have to be picked ripe, and they are better in galpacho, or cut up, not eaten whole. I do not care much for pears, as they get my hands all too sticky. Watermelon is another, for the same reason. I like fruit that is small like berries, or firm like apples, and can be cut up like apricots or peaches or nectarines, and that I can peel, like bananas.

I absolutely love avocados! I remember when i was a child back in the philippines that i use to eat it w/ milk & sugar. Probably you haven't tried it that way (smile!). Sometimes i make avocado shakes and i just love it! And also avocados are nutiritious with high levels of mainly unsaturated oils, minerals, vitamins and reasonable levels of protein. The leaves and seeds extract have been used for a variety of medical application, including treatment of diarrhea and dysentery and as an antibiotic. Well not that i've known those ifo before, I just enjoyed it for it's taste. I guess as with any foods/fruits, you have to acquire the taste to like it.

Yes! Welcome to the club :). Actually I really did not realize that avocado is also known as avocado in other countries. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought nobody would understand me if I said AVOACDO, so I included its scientific name, Persea americana. It does sound nice doesn't it...lol
