666. is it really a bad luck?

Whether that number is evil or not, I don't care at all. The first time I knew it was an evil number, I was scared and I don't wanna encounter that it my life. However, I came to realize that I don't think if one could encounter it like you do here at mylot, something bad will happen to you. I don't believe that. Just ignore it. SO what if it's an evil number? As long as you know and have FAith in GOd, these evil things and symbols would not come to your life. No matter how sinful you are, God is still there to protect you whenever you put your trust in Him and believe in Him as well. :) Hope this helps! God bless you! :)

the devil's number is the mark of the beast and comes from the book of revelation in the bible. It is just an number, because you got to the 666 post does that mean you would never post again? do numbers stop at that number of course not, just superstition like unlucky number 13 or lucky number 7. It is just a number.

I once had a booklet on the Revelation (I misplaced it, I don't know where it is already) and the number 666 refers to the number of the beast which everybody must have on their wrists or on their forehead to be allowed to buy something. But i don't really think it's a sign of bad luck, I mean I don't even believe in luck per se, but I do believe in prayers. Prayers keep things in order, well life may not be perfect even with prayers but life's imperfections and trials are meant to be there to test your faith. Keep the Faith and no number will ever put you down.

On the contrary, it means good luck. It is purely superstitious to say that it will bring anyone bad luck. I believe that it is the other way around. 666 is no small number, meaning it can do one well. This number actually pertains to one person, a beast, he rules the world and the world worships him. So says the Bible. Meaning, this number has religious connotation. A far cry from what we are doing here in mylot. If that number brings bad luck, then all of us who has reached that figure and then gone beyond it, had all been subjected to it. Forget it, that number will never refer to mylot and unto all of us around here.

The idea came from a misreading or misinterpretation of Revelation where it is supposed to be 'The Number of the Beast'. Too much idiotic superstition leads to fear, which is the way that evil grows in this world.

I believe it is a bad number. It is the mark of the beast. or of satan.

I can honestly say that this number does not sit well with me at all. Even if I see it on a number plate or as part of a phone number I feel uneasy. Call it superstition, call it religious influence..... Whatever the reasoning it is a number that I do not like whatsoever. The notion of this number comes from Revelations in the Bible.

Anything and everything, can be a sign or a coefficient for bad luck. it all depends on the person, and his beliefs. i often wonder, why do people need a good luck and a bad luck signs, and i got to a conclusion, that alote of people need the backing of a person or a sign to succeed in life. do those people have a low self esteem that they need somting external to tell them, that following certain rules will assure them of success? i guess each one of us, has their own belief about that subject. i believe that there is noting symbolic in the number you stated.

I guess it is no longer 666. If I happen to see my post count stop at a number I do not like, I will frantically search for a discussion to get rid of the number. In fact, at least 3 in case some discussions got deleted and my post count got reduced too, but often I make sure I stop when my post count end in a 0 or 5. 6 is considered good for some chinese who believe that it brings luck. In fact, any numbers can be lucky or good to anyone. If I am not wrong, 4 may be considered a more unlucky number compared to 6. It could all be superstitious belief because something happen before and people condemned the number. But then, prevention is better than cure, isn't it? NO harm to believe that it is true. LOL.

These numbers actually follow my husband and I around. Everywhere we look, there they are.. even our assigned phone numbers.. it's funny actually. We don't let it get to us, if we did, we'd be bonkers by now !!

The number 666 is often associated with bad luck etc. The number is from Revelation 13:18 and is the mark that the anti-christ will require that men and women will receive the mark in their hand or on their forehead and no one will be able to buy or sell without the mark. The anti-christ will be known by the number six hundred three score and six hence 666. Because it is the mark of the anti-christ many have made it an unlucky number. the number is not unlucky but is an indicator of the anti-christ.

Considering the vast amount of translation that has taken place from the original scripts, I would not even be confident that the number is correct. There are various superstitions regarding many numbers, and 13 is another favourite that is associated with bad luck. Personally, I just consider them to be numbers with no special significance.

some sayd that 666 numbers is a bad number and its the number of devil. i do not know that if it is true. we just leave it behind as long as it wont hurt...

yes i do believe that the 666 is the sign of Satan. and the statement comes right out of the BIBLE.

The only think I believe is, if we truely believe such things are bad luck, unlucky, whatever. Than in a sense we will have created that bad luck for ourselves. Constantly thinking negatively and you will have bad outcomes.

This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

It is supposed to be the number of the beast according to the Bible, but the Chinese would say the number is nine since 3x6=18 and 1 plus 8 is nine. Now, I do not know if nine is any unluckier than 13 which adds up to four. The Chinese know numerology so I suppose you need to ask someone from China. I have heard that the number 5 is supposed to be good luck. However, I probably need to ask a Chinese person in order to better understand numerology.
