Do you pray to Jesus or to God?

When you pray or when you "talk to God" do you address God or Jesus? Isn't Jesus the go-between between us and God? Does that mean we are supposed to pray to Jesus? I am just so used to talking to God directly (well you know what I mean) and only recently began to believe in Jesus as the son of God. What should I be doing?

The teaching in the Holy Bible is that we should pray to our Father in heaven in the name of our Lord Iesous Christ. Our Lord said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except thru Me. There are many verses saying that we should pray in the name of the Lord and we should also do things in the name of the Lord. We should go to the Father thru His Son, not thru anybody else.

I use "father" when conversing to our lord wether its simple monolouge or prayer. Usually sum it up with "in Jesus name"
But technically its praying to the same "being" since Jesus is the word, the flesh of God all mighty. We are created in the image of Jesus, which is the image of God.
The word "God" should be replaced by "Father" he is your father and you are his child. Stay close to yoru father.

When we pray, we address our prayer to our Father in heaven. Yes, the Lord Jesus is the go-between between us and God and so we pray in the name of the Lord Jesus as that is what He said and it's in the Holy Bible in many verses.

Its funny you should ask this coz i dont pray to Jesus or to God. I pray to the "Lord", our father. For some reason, i have grown accustomed to say "Lord" instead of Jesus or God. Also i would like to point out that Jesus is NOT a go-between to God. He is part of the holy trinity -- God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and Holy Spririt. So that when you pray to Jesus, you're praying to God also =) hope u get me. one of Christianity's fundamental cornerstone is the HOLY TRINITY. if u believe and accept that, everything else is clear. have a happy easter my friend!

I just pray as they teach me to in Christianity.
But when I talk to God I just talk to him as I'll talk with my father or mom.

I have also recently learned that Jesus is the one that we should be praying to. I have always prayed to God. In the religion that I was raised in, many people prayed to saints, and to Mary, mother of Jesus. But after reading about other religions, it seems that is a big no-no. Personally, I have never prayed to the saints or Mary, I had always prayed to God. Now I try to remember to pray to Jesus.

What is your religion? Do you find it strange to pray to Jesus now and not to God? It's hard for me to get used to this. It doesnn't come naturally to me.

when i pray i usually pray to God because he's the father of everything. But it actually doesn't matter if you pray to God or Jesus because Jesus=God. When i pray i pray to God but end with in the name of Jesus. So pray like you wanna pray what feels better for you.

Jsesus says specifically to ask the Father in his name. So in essence you are praying to Jehovah the father. Every thing you ask you have to ask in Jesus name. It is because Jesus has to agree with us so-to-speak. So if you pray to the Father you are letting him know that Jesus agrees with you. All that being said.. You must pray directly to God. You can thank Jesus because he hears you too. But pray to the Father.s. Hope you understand and I hope that helps

When we pray, we should always pray to God, the Father since He is the only one who can grant our requests. However God, the Father has commanded all men that everyone who prays to Him should go through the Mediator between Him and man, the man Christ Jesus.
It is for this reason that when we close or end our prayers we say, "This we ask in the name of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus."

I pray to God through Jesus Christ, Jesus is the only link between man and God, without Jesus no one can see God, i believe Jesus is the only way to God.at the end of every prayer i pray i usually end it with IN JESUS NAME.

one needs to pray for well being. you can pray to anyone- god, propet, son of god or for that matter to your virtue! the most important thing is that you should have the feeling to do good unto all. i know people who worship their work and do not pray to anyone at all. they are connecting to god himself as they are making this world a better place to live through their own toil and sweat.
pray to anybody; pray for mankind.

I do belief in Jesus Christ. Yes, we should ask by Jesus name. But for me, prayer is not merely 'asking' but to communicate with Holy Trinity, Almighty God. Usually, I pray and I call Him Father, because it's a big privilege for Jesus believer to call God as Father. This defines how intimate and close our relationship is. We're son of God, so we should often call Him as Father. Everytime I call Father, I just feel safe for I am His 'daughter' as well. When I ask for guidance to Holy Spirit, this refer to God the Father as well. When I ask Jesus for something or His mercy, this refer to God as well. They are One, so, we should often call and pray to all which are One indeed.

When i pray, i usually adress God directly like saying "Thank you God, for giving me such opportunity". I never used Jesus in my prayer. I don't know why, but it just came natural like that to me. I believe that Jesus as the son of God. I guess it's just don't matter whether you are using Jesus or God in your prayer. In my opinion, Jesus is the normal form of God. I mean you can't see God right ? But you can see what Jesus look like. So, it's like referring God through Jesus.
