I think they just get complicated ...and always try to find a complicated answer to the most simple things ! Hence, the answer makes no sense because out of proportion
It is like you want to add 2+2 and instead of counting on your fingers ( think that you don't know the answer ) or counting objects ... you try to make an equation out of it with 'x' and 'Y' and it takes you hours - and a huge headache - to find the answer
Plus one need to remember the great difference between "intelligent" and "cultivated" people ... you can know a lot of things and not really undertsand them or have put a lot of thoughts in them ... and you can ignore the capital of Congo but be able to figure out things, show logical skills and wits
I think that is probably where you problems lies ... people tend to think that cultivated people are intelligent when sometimes, they are only cultivated ...
