First time to miss playoffs

Alright, Avs fans. Lift your heads and discuss. They made a valiant effort, and truly played like a team that deserved to play post-season. They never gave up. I'm proud of them.

I love them and think they played their hearts out to make up points..they just were in too big a hole to climb all the way out...but they almost made it...I'll be wearing my Av's gear all the way through the playoffs..:)

how about jose theodore at the end of the season? he really seemed to step up his game. i agree, they were in too deep. everything had to fall in place for them to win. i would have loved to see how they matched up against detroit. as far as i'm concerned, that's one of the best rivalries in nhl history
