DO you get SCOLDING becoz of MYLOT???????

I don't have this problem. My partner understands how much I enjoy Mylot, and because he's at work in the day, it's not really an issue. However, if you live under your father's roof then I guess there are going to be some rules that you have to abide by. I wonder who pays the internet bill, your father, or you? Because if your father pays it, he has every reason to yell at you. If you pay it, then he has no reason to get at you and really shouldn't be wasting his time. It's sometimes hard for parents to see what it is we enjoy doing. Anything they class as excess is no doubt considered an addiction. Maybe explain to your father that you enjoy being on Mylot, and that you get paid for doing it. You have to try and make him listen, so maybe sit down with him at the table and talk about it. Reassure him that you don't have an addiction, it's just something harmless that you enjoy doing. Hopefully he will at least listen without getting angry. I wish you luck.

So sorry that your dad scolds you like he does.. 1-2 hours a day is nothing! How long have you been with Mylot? Just wondered. I live alone and use the internet as much for company as I do for doing some of the MLM programmes that I am with to earn something to help things stretch that bit further. But whilst you are at home try to listen to your dad and try come to some mutual arrangments with him. I do admit there are some bad sites out there, but it is a case of using your own common sence with things Using programmes like Mylot I see no problems with, whilst working on here you are mixing with other people, learning new things all the time, plus earning a little extra money too that can be put aside for things that you might need in the future, ok it wont go a long way what you get from here, but what do they say Every little helps in this world Lynn-Marie

not experienced that ..im an adult and owned one..but its my husband who got jealous of my too much time in computer and complaining about it..

I understand how you feel, I get the same from my husband. He does NOT do without anything, has what he wants when he wants it, yet still gets upset if I spend to much time no the computer.

Yes this is my husband. You are not alone. He keeps pacing back and forth. Walking a hole in the floor. Complaining and fussing.

I get that all the time. Even when I didn't join mylot, I've spent a lot of time blogging and my parents are really disturbed about now. But now I have an excuse =) I either tell them,"Mom, dad, i'm earning money so it's a good thing." lolz! I still try to keep an offline life still though or else I'd have nothing to blog about. =)

my husband hates when i spend time on mylot. i find it interesting. i don't really make a whole lot of money but i sit at home all day and do not have a whole lot else to do.

Well I don't have to as I live on my own but even when I lived with the Kids they where never bothered as they had their own Computers so no one was getting in anyones Way If I where you I would actually show him and explain to him what you are doing on the Net and he might understand more

Situation here is that when people around me find me working on mylot they get frustrated seeing it. They say what the hell are you...they ask me how much have you made so far...These people least like me working on mylot. Mylot does not attracts them but still i keep my motivation going here.

I once spent all day at home watching TV, my parents scold me. Then I hope i can grow up quickly. Now i live and work outside, I can do whatever i like to do.

NO,not yet. Usualy I do not spend much time on my lot. I have become a member of this recently. But as many as days are passing I am falling in love of it. So I feel slowly I am increasing the time I spend in My Lot. So, now I am really afrid that within a few weeks I will be scolded by my Mom and Dad for spending lots of time in MyLot. In my view the best way to get rid of it is to make them join into MyLot!!!

No, not that much. I pay half of our electricity bill, I pay the monthly subscription of the Internet, I own the computer... but I get scolded when mom catch me staying late at night. To skip, I open the PC when every one is sleeping, I've got to extend 2 hours more in MyLot.

I used to have the exact problem but it was my girlfriend who used to stop me going online, it was as if she was jelous of me going on like. Try and just be fly about it and try not to let him know that you are online or tell him you are doing work for school or work and you need the net.

Oh my situation at my place, is fine no I do not get a scolding because I spend too much on my computer, but some days my husband says something to me for the time I spend here but I just tell him well we need the money to pay the bills. I do spend a lot of time on the computer up to 12 hours per day every day, but yesturday we went out so that was great and we shall also be going out today.

I Dont know youe age so it is hard to answer Y ou live under your fathers roof i take it so you must follow his rules do you pay for the internet or dose he? I dont get scolded because my husband is always here on the internet also working on his internet business.

ya there are sometimes when i get scolding from my parents .and this is mainly when i just get hooked to this site for hours and just thinking of new idead to start some usefull and meaning full discussions. Though i dont have any fixed time that i will do this for 2 hrs or 3 hrs but my timing are really odd as far as people from india are concerned .sometimes it is like 1 am at night when all are sleeping lol. the last time i got scolded was when i was myloting during my exams time

I live alone and love it! I can do just what I want and when I want and do not have to answer to anyone in my home. I can't see that ever changing for me, because I like it to much. I see couples fighting all the time and I have no patience for that. Life is far too short.

lolz Don't ask about situation at my place. My business is running good . I deal in finance , Pvt. finance , money on interest. My wife hates mylot and asks me for a single reason to be on mylot. If I tell her I like to talk then she says talk with me. If I say I love to earn then she says concetrate on your bsiness more and you will earn more. My wife also wants me to stop this. First she used to take house rent from my income now she says you don't pay house rent , I will pay instead of you . But stop working on this mylot and orkut.
