I'm a die-hard sentimental person who keeps anything and everything that is memorable to me. It can be a restaurant napkin, leaflet or brochure from a certain place, a receipt from a memorable purchase (who can get more sentimental than this?!), notes not necessarily written on paper, etcetera. I end up having all these stuff in boxes, the oldest items from my high school days. Whenever I'm in my 'senti' mood, I open a box and I'm zapped back to the past. Some stuff makes me smile, others make me laugh, and then there are those that makes me teary-eyed. I consider these things my treasure. Nothing can replace the memories that I am reminded of when I look at them. Do you also keep your own sentimental treasure box?

Yes, most memories are in our heads, but sometimes it gets too crowded and busy. Recently I'm becoming forgetful (age related maybe! lol) and having memoirs or keepsakes help a lot in reminding me of certain moments that are buried deep in my head. :)

it's more of a photobox for me where i put most of my memorabilia. i too loves to keep simple things (junk for some) that makes me remember a certain place or a person who i am with. most items in my box are letters coming from friends, cousins, suitors (yes, i keep every single letter from them ;).

I also have a box of letters from friends and cousins since my elementary days that I keep until now. I miss reading 'real letters' because emails are more and more taking over the usual snail mail. Thanks for sharing! :)

i do that, too. my boyfriend is amazed on how i value every small things there are. like when we eat out, the tickets to some flights we've been to... etc. i also have lots of letters compiled. letters which i received from friends while we were still in gradschool up to now. letters which i received from friends through regular posts. and i love reading them one by one now. like reminiscing the past. i also have lots of small figurines given to me and i have kept them all these years. it's nice to look at them from time to time and remember to whom you received it from.

It's amazing how sentimental people like us accumulate a lot of things over the years. :) Yeah, I forgot tickets too and even the menu brochure on the plane, I kept them all. I've always wanted to do a scrapbook out of them but haven't really gotten the time. Hope one day I can sit down and organize all of them.

i do have a treasure box. in this box, i put all the memories me and my boyfriend shared together like a movie ticket, restaurant receipt, letters, boxes/packages of stuffs he has given me, and even a paper airplane he made just for me. when my boyfriend saw this box he was so touched because i value our relationship so much that i keep even the small memorable things in a box. every anniversary we both look at the things in the box and remember all the memories we had shared together. and after we have done that, i think, our relationship has grown even stronger.

You're very lucky to have someone as sentimental as you. Oftentimes men are not emotional, or they just don't show it, but having someone who appreciates the memories you two had been through is quite rare nowadays. Best of luck to the both of you. :)
