I've never been to your part of the world. I've been swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, in Lake Erie, in smaller lakes, and in the Pacific Ocean. But I really prefer swimming in swimming pools. I'm not crazy about sharing the water with sea creatures and sand.
Do you go to the Black Sea often in summer? What is it like? Do you stay on the seaside overnight or travel back to your home? From half a world away, it sounds very exotic. It is probably familiar and common to you.
I don't live near and large body of water, at least not near enough to go swim and come back in a day. We have a river large enough to swim in here, but few people want to due to the current and pollution. There are a couple of parks within a short drive from hear that have small beach areas where folks swim in summer.
Here most people swim in public or private swimming pools between the end of May and the end of August.

I am lucky because I live near the Black Sea seaside. I live in Constanta the romanian harbour city. Some people in my country have to travel for a few days regularly in their vaccation to make sands and swimm there. But there are a lot of people which prefer to swimm in a private swimming pool because they are afraid they can drown in the sea. I`m a good swimmer and I like to swimm in the sea. It cant be compared with swimming in a swimming pool. I want to swimm sometime in the ocean, its one of my dreams.
