Should Sunday be kept Sacred ?

This morning I was out for a walk just as the congregation were leaving a local church. The conversation was obviously about the fact that it had been an Easter Service and that traditions regarding Easter seem to be lost now. At one time, shops would close for a period on Good Friday afternoon in respect of the crucifixion and rarely were shops open at all on a Sunday let alone Easter Sunday. I found it rather hypocritical that these people who were bemoaning these lost traditions then started to complain when they stopped at a corner store to find it was closed for Easter. What do you think? Should Sunday be kept as a day of rest? What do you think about shops being open on a Sunday?
