Where do you like reading your books when you engage in a leisurely pursuit of reading? Is it better to do it at the library or bookstore, or do you like to curl up by the fireplace and read a good mystery novel while eating popcorn? I usually like to read in bookstores, because if I see books that I like, I can buy them and if I don't, I can perhaps get a snack and read till I find something that I feel is good enough for me to buy.

I love to read in bed, the bathtub, or on the couch. I also really enjoy reading outside with the warm setting beating on me. I love to read in so many places it seems. hehe

Read in the bathtub? Doesn't that make a problem if you drop your book and the pages get wet?

I especially love to read curled up on our couch at home, with a soft blanket and a cup of hot chocolate on rainy days. But if it's a really good book, and I just can't put it down, I end up reading even when I'm on the bus or the train. We also have a porch in the new house we moved into where I also read and study.

I like to snuggle in my bed with the book, befre i sleep itrs must for me to read even if I can finish only two pages and same with my hubby we both read in bed. I visit libraries to check out on books and somehow my granny alwqasy disapproved of eating while reading so I never do that, though sometimes its harder to put down your book and do anything else. still her voice keeps ringing in my ears sdso I do put it down whenm I am eating. lol

One of my favorite things to do, and I haven't done it for a very long time, is to go to B & N and grab a medium latte and a good book off the shelf and sit on one of their comfy chairs and read for a few hours.
At home I usually lay on my bed to read, but my couch is much more comfy. If I choose the couch I usually fall asleep...lol.

I love reading, so I actually have 3 favorite spots to read. I love to curl up on the couch with my throw blanket, cup of coffee and good book. I also like to sit up in my home office, have a comfy chair, turn radio on low and read for hours. I also like sitting outside when its warm and sunny.

For me I usually read in bed or in the bath and if it is quiet in the house sometimes on the sofa in the livingroom.
It is nice though in the summer to take my book out into the garden or if we are out for a drive find somewhere nice and quiet to stop and just sit outside and read and enjoy the nice weather.

I don't mind library but the thing is everytime I sit there and read something, there is always some people walking around and take a peak at what I read. This happened to practically every books I read, even if I just happened to bring my course books there. I told myself that if it happens again I would not hold myself from saying anything rude. But then I never go to the library anymore since we moved to a house further from it, now I read at home with soft music on and my cat sitting next to me.

A good bookstore is a great place to read bits and pieces if I am looking to find something to buy..but weather permitting my favorite place to read is outside in a quiet semi-sunny spot..my deck is filled with bamboo plants and colorful flowers and my chaise lounge is very comfy. Here I find the refuge of both the outdoors and the amenities of being at home and able to take breaks and do other things...I love the sound a of soft breeze through the bamboo..it is very soothing while reading...away from home my choice would be the beach at the ocean...I can read for hours and still stop and breathe in all the beauty that surrounds me!!

I like to read wrapped up in my covers in bed right before I go to sleep. That is probably my favorite time/setting because being calm and relaxed helps me to get into it more.

Transformed, I usually sit in my armed chair in my livingroom next to the computer desk and do my readng. But where I really like reading is in a park under a tree and lying on a nice blanket and reading. But it must be in a quiet area and a nice sunny day.
When I rest my eyes for a while I can lie back and look up at the sky and ponder what I have read.

I too like reading in bookstores, because it's where I find a lot of my books on Spirituality and Angels. The new Age section is tucked away in a back corner and I find I can usually read undisturbed there.
If I'm reading at home, I usually read in bed on a night before going to sleep. I find it makes my eyes tired and I find it easier to shut off.
I also like reading laid out on the sofa. More often than not, my cat jumps up and curls up across my thighs to sleep while I'm reading lol. I have to make sure I'm comfy because chances are, I'll be there for a good while.

If I am home, before I start to read a book, I like to make sure I have nothing to do, that all house chores are done, family fed and organised so I have interuptions at all. As for where i like to read, well for me it does'nt really matter where i read, I know i can fit in anywhere when it comes to reading a really good book.
