I have been here for a while now and have seen my friends come and go and do a good deal of venting on Mylot and I know it is therapeutic in many ways and I always try to console my venting friends and cheer them up because I know in my heart that is just what they need. After a good vent what do you feel and when we respond to the venting does it help calm your spirits and make you smile? Please share with me your experiences..I am more of a winger lol!!

I suppose this works for some. Therapeutic for them. I am not sure if it helps me. I would probably continue moping anyway. :P

For me I am quite calm and placid, there are only a few subjects that I have to vent upon and that is not being able to get a job with children because I am male as well as the justice system in the UK being appalling, I could get on my soap box and rant and rave for England lol! We all need an outlet to vent out on. I use my gym and going to my retreat as therapy for me.

I always feel so much better after venting on here. I have found that so many people can help you see that there are different ways to look and deal with your problems so it makes things easier. You all come up with great advice and for that I thankyou.

I feel great and I enjoy some of my friends vents. Some are serious and some are hilarious but I always respond. If I cannot help at least I will commiserate with them.

I haven't vented on here yet but I LOVE getting responses when you do. One of the reasons people feel down a lot is because they feel alone, and it helps to know you're not alone!

I have done my share of venting and it really is good therapy. Usually I feel alot better after putting it all down in writing. Writing is a bit of councilling for me , and probbly more people =) I usually also try to comfort people venting and hope that they will do the same for me when that day comes!

i try not to vent, or complain. only becuase what you focus on expands. so if you are complaining about not having money, then you get more situations of complaining about not having money. if you are complaining about your spouse then you get more situations of complaining about your spouse. i don't let "problems" become bigger then me. i am bigger then any problem and insteand of complaining, i roll up my sleeves and go into solving mode.

Venting is good for your health and soul.It kind of clears the air, and the piling up of bile:) It is almost like a good cry, you feel soooo much better afterward!

You know that I'm a very emotional bunny. When I was a newbie here, I was still confused about mylot. I admit I have posted at least 3 threads showing how upset I am about friends here. I consoled myself that a lot of good friends, including you, came full force and showed all your support. I'm almost 3 months here at mylot and I had somehow, stop posting thread of such nature. I'm over that stage now and acknowledge dthe fact that not all friends will really help and support you. :)

I feel much better after venting on Mylot. I've only ever really vented once when a girl refused to listen to me trying to explain that being adopted wasnt a bad thing for me lol. I felt better that people understood where I was coming from with it. I've seen my friends vent on occasion too, and I always commiserate with them if I'm unable to give them some advice.

I have'nt vent on mylot, yet but i will do if i have something worth getting worked up on. I have vented on another forum though (what a waste..) and it does feel good if i start to receive support from others. Some gives worthy advice but some would can't help but being a troll. All in all venting online is a good thing, especially if there's earning potential to it.

I feel good because I can say whatever I want. Most people don't listen but on here it's easier to get your ideas and thoughts out.

Sometimes a good venting on MyLot, when done right, can add a nice one to your MyLot earnings, but that's only like the bonus part. While actually typing it out, you get to sort it out in your mind while trying to find the right words & polite way of saying things that needs to be said. In one of the discussions I replied to, I let out a good vent, & the guy who started the discussion actually loved the response. It probably helped that he agreed with it also.

I do myLot for therapy. The whole experience makes me feel good. I try not to vent to much about my life right now, because, no matter what, I have it better than a lot of people. I love the fact that we have some good accepting friends for vents and rants, which I do more of. It would not do any good to sound off, if we thought no one was listening.

I have only been able to do it once, but it is an awesome way to blow off steam and let it out.
