How do you ask someone out?

Im really interested in asking a girl at my school out but not to sure how to approach it. Can you give me some ideas so I dont make myself look foolish?

ok dude try to be funny to her. try to make her laugh and then try to talk with her. then when you get to know her ask her out. and dont worry about feeling foolish. if she feels the same about you then she wont think your foolish
