On the place where I live we have very short summer so we have not even many apple trees here. Our berries are great though, they are very aromatic since they grow in intense light during both day and night. Please share with us what fruits and berries grow in your country. Which sort do you prefer to eat?

I’m living in a tropical country and people here grow unseasonal fruits like banana, papaya, guava, watermelon, mango, nangka etc which we can take everyday; seasonal fruits like durian, mangosteen, rambutan, chempedak, langsat and so on. Seasonal fruits bear fruits once or twice annually. Mango is my favorite unseasonal fruit and durian is my favorite seasonal fruit. In the mountain areas of my country people there also plant lots of fruits which normally are imported from temperate countries like strawberries, grapes and citrus fruits.

Sounds wonderful, you don´t need to store so much like we do in Sweden. I hope to visit a real tropical area some time. There is a small area in Spain below Sierra Nevada that is tropical so when I was there it was great to eat Cherimoyas that I had never heard of before. But that place - Almunecar - was very cold in January.

I’m usually very keen to visit those orchards in temperate and cold countries. Though I can get foreign fruits like apples and grapes etc in the shopping malls here I never seen any of these trees. How nice if I were to pluck them from the trees and eat fresh right under the plants lol.

Apples, cherries, strawberries, plumes, lemons (they need to be put in the houses because in the winter it is cold fot these plants), raspberries and many tohers kinds of fruits can be found in my coutry. There is everything on the market when you can't take it directly from the trees.

I think your climate is great, and summer and autumn with fresh fruit and berries must be wonderful. You have a much longer growing season than the place I live, near the Arctic Circle.

In the United States we have all sorts of fruit besides apples. There are oranges, grapes, watermellon, cherries, strawberries, lemons, grapefruit, I am not naming all of them but that is a lot of what we have here.
