Moderators and referral links

What do you think is it a good idea to post your referral links on mylot and your website link. I mean it's a great way to get traffic but maybe it's better to have a clean forum. Shame on me i have also posted my site a few times. What is your opinion about that. Should we have more strict rules on that or is it just oké the way it is and what about moderators i haven't seen any moderator here.
