how do you know if a guy is interested in you?

see i've never been good at being to tell that a guy's into me. i never really know until he makes a direct move. there's a new guy at work that i've only talked to very briefly and from the few conversations that he's tried to carry on with me i get the feeling that there might be something more to it but i have no clue.
guys, how do you show you're interested in a girl? ladies, what have guys done to get your attention?

Look into his body language. Eye contact...that's a huge one for me...if a guy looks me straight in the eye or stares at me constantly, I know he likes me.
If he's facing you while he's talking to you that could be a sign also.
If he jokes around a lot with you...playfully pushes you or winks he probably likes you.
Try flirting with him. If he flirts back...well then, you know.

I think it is easy to figure out whether a guy like you or not.If he does,he will care about you,to find as many chance as possible to be with you,to ask you something about your family or do you have a boyfriend,etc.If you can not figure out yet.I guess there must be two reasons:one is he is very intorverted and very shy to express himself.two is you are a little careless.lol.
