I have two kids. My daughter was sleeping through the night around 3m and my son at 12m. It really just depends on the child.

Our little one was sleeping through the night when he was 4 or 6 weeks old, but recently he's been waking up at night. I don't know what it is, but i'm thinking it's the whole teething thing.
What you can try is swaddling your little one, if you haven't done that, or stopped doing it. this helps my little one when he's really restless and wakes himself up.

My son didnt sleep through till he was nearly a year old. I did start using dreamfeeds (giving him milk while he was asleep) and when he was old enough I would put a cup or bottle of milk in his cot that he could take himself if he woke up.

I believe that children that are nursed tend to sleep threw the night at an older age than those on the bottle. I don't know this as a fact, but have been told this. My children didn't nurse and at 2 weeks they all slept threw the night. I was very lucky. If you want to get your child to sleep all night, try giving him some cereal before he has his last bottle for the night. Also, you can try letting him cry when he wakes up at 5. It is a hard thing to do, but at 5 months they will learn to sleep all night if you don't jump and get them up whenever they cry. Good luck.

My son is 15 months old and still doesn't sleep through on a consistent basis. He doesn't eat in the night (although he does get a drink of water. He will sleep through for a while and then go through a phase where he wakes up once or twice and then switches back. I guess that is probably not what you wanted to hear.LOL

My little one has been sleeping through the night since he was about 3 months old. He's 14 months old, and wakes up during the night occasionally, but he is able to self soothe really well and just plays a little bit and goes back to sleep. He usually stays in bed for a solid 10-12 hours per night now.

as kids grow their sleeping cycle really change, from sleeping all the time and waking up most of the time. when your kid aged 2 he/she will start to be sleeping more than waking up. Why? coz when he reached 2 years old he can each more food that could keep him full through the night and just wake up smilling in the morning.

I think he was around 6 months. He also had the early morning feeding, that was the last one to go. I only remember this because I would watch the early news. He still has a small stomach so he gets hungry more often. He'll sleep when he's ready, I know easier said than done but it will happen! He also may sleep through the night, then all of the sudden start waking again, that's due to growth spurts. My toddler is going through one now and is waking up real early and is feasting all day.

My thirteen-month-old son still wakes up at night, but last night he actually slept through the night for the first time in about six months. I am hoping that this is the beginning to a more steady sleep pattern.
My oldest son on the other hand slept through the night, when he was about two weeks.
For your sake, I hope your youngest son will begin to sleep through the night very soon. I am telling you, it felt so good to get a full night sleep. I felt so energized and I have gotten so much stuff done today. I cleaned the oven, did all the laundry, baked a cake, did the weekly grocery shopping and I have still managed to come and participate here at Mylot, and I have done all the daily surveys.
I have the feeling that it was a one-time event though, but I seriously hope that it is a beginning of a new sleeping chapter.
