Who thainks that his reasons to justify the war in Iraq are just ridicules? I think he is making a bad call on this war.

i think bush is a good president who tried to do the right thing(destroy our enemies)lets not forget what the muslims WILL DO to us if given a chance.bush i think will go down in history as a good president who tried to do the right thing by taking the fight to our enemies, but because of the crippling political correctness that is plaguing the country ,and because of the democratic party trying to hurt bush politically at every turn(even if what bush was doing was right the democrats would still be against him)i think in the end the democrats, because of all their propaganda and their trying to make bush look bad no matter what, plus that they appeared to be on the terrorist side, will be the group that is judged harshly in history.because of their divisivness durring a time of war against our ENEMIES.answer this question HAS PRESIDENT BUSH EVER ATTACKED A FRIEND OF THE USA?any of you who think that muslims are peaceful and tolerant just travel to saudi arabia with a bible and i think you will see muslims in a whole different light

Some good points in this comment. I thought he was a good president at first, but why did he choose to invade Iraq, they played no part in 9/11 and the war in Afghanistan should have been fought and won first before making allegations that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and there is still no solid proof of weapons of that nature over in Iraq. Thanks for the response.

just my opinion but i think the fact that iraq was snubbing its nose at just about all the U.N resolutions and that bush 1 had problems with sadam, and bush2 needed a place to take this battle - so as to get it out of our borders and quick ,all these things made iraq the perfect candidate at the time.plus sadam was such a good con artist that he had the WHOLE WORLD beleiving he had weapons of mass destruction.i mean be honest here what would you do?

also there is plenty of proof that sadam had weapons of mass destruction.he had already used them on the kurds and on the iranians durring their war.plus we sold him some chemical weapons durring iraq's war with iran.so there is plenty of proof and 1st hand accounts of there use

This wasn't just Bush's reasoning, this was official US policy towards Iraq. Clinton’s policy towards Iraq set the stage for the invasion of Iraq. In 1998 Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act, which made regime change in Iraq official US policy. Bush was continuing the policy that his predecessor began. After the attack of 9-11, there was a lot of support to go to Iraq. Iraq was believed to be a gathering place for terrorists and possible WMD's. The fact that none were found means nothing more than they were removed before the invasion. Saddam claimed to have them, and we know that he had used them in the past against the Kurds. With everything that we are seeing in Iraq right now, is there really any doubt that there is a terrorist influence involved? Saddam is gone, and stability needs to be achieved before we leave. Iraq needs to do more and start taking responsibility for it's own safety. I hope our troops can come home soon, but the job there needs to be finished first.

George Bush, the man I admire so much is doing the right for the world in iraq! The next thing he needs to consider is another war on Iran, we dont want to democratize nuclear weapons, that will spell doom for the world. Remember it was because of Iraq's lack of transparency on nuclear weapons that America went to war? The war also helped to keep alcaida terrorists at bay, they would be scheming how to bomb major cities from Bagdad by now. thanks to Bush and Blare
