When did man first decide that a womans place is in the home?

i rememebred in our sociology and anthroplogy class, the major concept that society began as patriarchal turned out to be a taboo. ages and ages ago, the communnity are matriarchial. Gods are not HE but SHE. Chieftains are not MEN but WOMEN. my postin here may not be too scientific coz i could barely qoute or remember the references. ha ha :-)

Good discussion Chiang but after Gnosis I don't know how to best contribute to the discussion. In many situations women are going out to make a living and we get/have to stay at home more and do the chores.
