For mothers who have kids with fathers of a different ethnic background: Do you want and try to show your kids as much from their background as possible? I am American and the father of my kids is half dominicana and half puerto rican I am committed to having my kids bilingual and to know as much about their hertiage as possible. I feel as though its part of my hertiage too, because they're my kids does anybody else feel this way?

My husband doesn't know much about his culture, he lost contact with his fathers family so he was raised without it. He does feel like he's missing something in life because of that. So you're doing a wonderful thing!
