Are you superstitious?

Yes, I am superstitious. During playoff season in the NHL I always grow out a beard. Has anyone ever heard of that superstition?

I have a number of habits that are based on superstitions although I'm not sure what the consequences are supposed to be if I don't do them. I always say "White Rabbits" as my first words on the first day of a new month, I always say "Good Morning Mr Magpie" to any magpie I see, I always cross my fingers if I have to walk underneath a ladder (although common sense says to avoid this where possible in case of falling objects) and I throw salt over my shoulder if I spill any.
