Is it safe to sleep inside a taxi cab?

I think it's safe to sleep inside a bus, considering that there are a lot of people, and the bus conductor/driver can easily wake you up, but inside a taxi cab? That's a different thing. I mean, what if the taxi driver suddenly brings you out of nowhere and you have no idea where he's taken you? What if he kidnaps you or he took your money and your important valuables and he drops you off somewhere else?
I think if you're too tired or stressed out, don't take a cab on your way home coz' it's not very safe, most especially if you're alone by yourself.
Do you sleep inside the cab or have you ever? Do share your experiences.

No! I would really not dare to sleep inside a taxi cab especially if I'm the only one passenger or got no friends with me at all. Maybe in other countries it's safe but not here in our country. You can only find rare drivers who are that honest and true. In the buses, it's fine but not in the cabs. :)

I wouldn't feel comfortable enough to sleep in a cab. I'd be afraid of snoring or drooling, not to mention trusting this stranger. I used to drive a cab myself, and I knew of some of the other drivers who would take a longer route to rack up more $. For someone who doesn't know the area, there's not much they can do about that. But I'd sure wanna be watching where we were going!!

not at all... because you dont know what will happen if you sleep..what if the driver do anything bad to you..or you incounter an accident???

In Singapore, the cabs are quite safe. So yes, I would sleep in the cap if I am tired. And I have done the same too.

Oh yeah, cabs in Singapore are safe. We went there last year and our taxi driver was so nice to us and he even toured us for a few minutes without asking us for an extra pay. Here in our country is way too far from safe, lol ;)

I sleep during taxi travels whenever Im tired or just plain sleepy. But I usually do that when I have people with me who knows where we're going to make sure that we arrive there. I also tell the people with me that I'll be taking a nap so as not top fell asleep themselves. one or two people awake is enough.

I don't suggest sleeping inside a taxi while travelling. You never know what may happen. Don't trust taxi drivers because not all of them can be trusted. Some of them are goons waiting for the right time to rob their passengers. If you're sleepy while riding a taxi, try to do things that will keep you awake. Always take note the meter, because there are taxi drivers who will abuse you and cheat you in your fare if you're not alert. Be alert, observe and don't let those eyes go close.
