In India things r different, the economic technology used here is different .....v can't blindly copy the kind of govt in another developed country .India has got a population of 1.2 billion people and politics play a major role in countering unemployment, as the no: of parties increase the functioning of one party can be improved by the feedbacks of the opposition.
In the case of India, progress is not something which can b achieved in a fortnight.........it takes time, there r many hindrances in this long journey which encompass poverty, political corruption and so on the list goes.........if v the citizens also give this a go by then dream of being a self sufficient nation will b like crying 4 the moon.So one cannot say that democracy is an obstacle for development.
