pick the one with the most responses or do you give the question itself more consideration??
I personally select the questions which have the most responses then i browse discussions which have yet to get answer and also if the discussion itself interest me.

I am completely the opposite. I go for new discussions like this one.
The simple reason is that I will be on the front page and I will be able to find my post again to check for responses from you. And you will respond, won't you!!! haha Well ok, maybe I'll post on a discussion that has two pages, tops.
If I post on a topic that has hundreds of posts then I never bother to check back as it takes ages to go through all the pages to find my post.
It would be great if myLot could have a system where it checks which page your post was on and shows the number in a little window or has a radio button saying 'goto your post' or something like that.

When I am choosing a discussion to reply, I will first choose the one on discussions from my friend, most of the time, i can already find couples of good topics to reply, and then after i finished those, I will keep getting some new ones there, if I cannot find something good, I will go to the hot topics to choose the best topcis of the day and reply them, and the last resort may be the one with no responses, but it will not always happen because I will be able to have 30 posts everyday, nearly all of them will be from my friends, if I can reply more, may be I will be able to reply to the no response ones.

I did chose my topic that i want to responses and also discussions that interest me. I really choose which good discussions i get involved such as that i can reply or add a comment in the discussions. I also create discussions which i prefer my personal experience and i want to know what other opinions that might people give or responsed to my discussions. But sometimes i go look for a discussions which is not really in my knowledge or experience, in which i can gain knowledge or certain information in the discussions.

The first thing I do is go to the "Discussions Friends Started..." since they have the most relevant topics that I would like to respond to.
Afterwards, I check on the ones that I started to see if there are any new responses and so forth.
Lastly, I check out hot topics or no responses discussions, just to see if I can help out those looking for new responses.

I often check out the 'discussions with no responses' section. There's a lot of rubbish turns up in it (which is probably why there are no responses) but every so often you find something really interesting.
