Alright i know many people who are hooked on various games wether it is on PC or the 360 or you name it. One popular one was and still is world of war craft. I know i was addicted to it untill i forced my self to cut off from it. In china it is so addictive that they have rehab centers just for it. So confess and what was the most addictive game you have played? how long have you or did you play it for? and any paticular reason it was so addictive?
cheers

I have heard alot about the addictiveness of WoW but i have never played it myself. I've never been perticulally addicted to any games since im not a huge player of them. The closest thing i have become obsessed with is battlefield, thankfully i dont have it at home but when i go to my sisters i always ask to play it :)

yep i do have to admit battle field is amazing i do like the newer battle fields as i know more of the odern weapons. It is amazing playing battle field online but computer wise it requires a very strong computer. I know when i just upgraded my computer i now manage to easily run all the battle fields full quality and everything with max bots and everything. Im still loving the game tho as i have it at home and bought the original aswell!
cheers

Well, as far as I can remember, the old Nintendo Game Boy. Oh, please... I think I'm too old for this. Okay then, no one is too old for anything. But then, I'm a female, so I couldn't really contribute to your discussion. I'm also interested to know which games the others here are addicted to. I think in a way, I don't want to get addicted to any game because I'm very busy at my job, and it's really difficult to get over one (very expensive, too!). Happy myLotting!

My favorite game of all time is a role playing game made by Konami. It is the Suikoden series which is now on its 5th installation of the series. I really love this game since I bought Suikoden 2 in Playstation console.
The game is a continuous story of epic battles in the Suikoden world. Each player can collect about 108 characters that will shape the army of the hero. Every character has its unique history and story. They have different jobs and classes that makes them a great army indeed.
If you have not yet seen this game, I recommend to buy the latest version, which is Suikoden 5. You will really love the whole series if you will have all the game titles.

Back in the day i used to play CounterStrike obsessively. Every free minute i had was spent playing that game until i realized there are other things i had to do and spending all my time on the computer was not a good idea. I still play some games now and surf the internet but i do it all in moderation.

The most addictive game I have ever played would be Starcraft. I found the better part of the day passed me by when I was playing on battlenet. I love that game and blizzard keeps denying Starcraft players when there is still a huge market for it. Anyways, my most addictive non-video game is the card game Nertz. Ever heard of it?
You can check it out at http://playnertz.com/ It is a fast-paced, real-time, multiplayer card game that requires multiple decks of cards. It is too fun, especially with a large gruop of family or friends. Let me know what you think.

I now a addicted to Solitaire Race on AOL games or Pogo. It is just like the Nertz game that I play live and in person with my friends and family. Another great game is Solitaire Showdown on Windows Live Messenger. Check them out, you find a cult-like following there, filled with others addicted to these games.

Allegiance is one game that most of you have assuredly never played, though undoubtedly heard of as I constantly harp on its many, many virtues. This is the only real-time strategy, massively multiplayer, team-based tactical space combat game ever. Allegiance threw up to one hundred players together on one of two teams, with a huge chunk of space between them to explore, exploit and defend from the enemy. Resources must be gathered to research new weapons and ship designs. These ships and weapons will protect your own AI miners, while striking at the enemy's operations. The race is on to see who can build a cruiser first, to take the enemy star base out.
As a typical pilot or gunner, you'd only have access to the information immediately available to you. Scanners had limited range, and even if you could see across an entire sector, there were many sectors interconnected by the various alephs (wormholes.) If your commander gave you an order, you had to have faith in his abilities and he had to know you could do the task at hand.

Heya, The game I have found most addictive is Sacred. It can be played online but thankfully I never went there as I know it would have been even more addictive then.
I am the type of person who gets a new game and gets addicted to it straight away and keeps playing it until i have finished it.
I am not surprised about the rehab centres for WoW, I have recently lost one of my best friends to that game. The amount of time she plays not to mention the money she is spending on it sickens me to be honest. Sorry to all you WoWers out there, but I miss my friend and cannot see things being the same between us again, it certainly hurts when you really need a friend to talk to and they are to busy playing on the computer to give a toss. We had been friends 20 years..
Anyway, I stay away from MMORG's because I can see the allure and I cannot afford to lose my regular life, I already spend enough time on the computer as it is :P
Tanika.
P.S. This is my 500th post!! Yay!

There are a lot of addicting games, but for me the "Resident Evil" series games are Classic the best RPG game I ever played. It is so addictive because there is a lot of things that you need to uncover before you can move on to the next stage. It is also scary considering the fact that it`s only a video game. It is best played at night and alone in your room.

I am a live action role player, and as such I prefer to play the games "for real" so to speak. I spend time in costume as my character and living the role I create. We spend whole weekends with a load of other role players, acting out our games and having a great time.
Many of the people I know in the larp society are also addicted to on line games and will happily spend many hours glued to their computers playing the games. Several have said how addictive these games are and they often lose track of time completely and find they have spent up to 24 hours at a time playing Warcraft in particular.
To be honest, I find myself worrying about them over this as they become more and more drawn into the games and spending less time with family and friends. Yes, rps games are addictive, but it is down to the individual to call a halt, either with the help of family and friends or, for one such mate of mine, his friends pulled the plug and took it away completely.

Without a doubt this has to be The Sims on the PC, I have quite a few of the Expansion packs for The Sims and I'm not stocking up on Expansion Packs for The Sims 2 lol.
I used to spend a LOT of time on this game and my kids loved to sit and watch me lol. They would giggle as my sim met new friends and got into fights with some of them lol.
I don't play it nearly as often as I used to. I find it passes the time when I have nothing better to do, especially on a night when I want to take a break from Mylot.
