The sports meeting for our business school has just started.its a bit embarrassing that some ppl in charge frequently come to ask me to join different games, such as tug-war,basketball game.i wanna refuse but can i do it again and again? the conclusion i can draw from my situation is:being tall isnt that good, coz we are always selected or pushed to do physical things.ppl mistakenly see us as sports genius.i aint interested in any activities, nor making myslef famous.

Yupe, when I was at school, I joined vocal group, school magazine and still others activities (but not sports, although I'm tall enough as a girl at that time) I think the point of active in communities is not making you famous, please think other advantage, such as you can have friends who are same with your interest. And this is also prepare you to get ready in your next real life when you already will get a job, the relationship experience between friends will help you a lot. Usually job seeker want to find new / fresh graduate who are already active in one or some communities, which means that you also know how to organize your time and your task in your job. Being famous is other effect, if you get achievement or maybe become bad member... you already famous :D -lol- The point is just to express what you like with others who same interest with you and learn how to organize yourself in communities, not being famous. So... don't deny to join, but you also must find the right community which suit to you. If you don't interest in sports, just look for others.

its true that communities experience in school will make us more competitive for seeking a job,coz we learn to get on with other ppl, organize things, balance between study and activities, which are all the qualifications companies look for.i am finding my ways thx:)

chools should encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities since they benefit the students in so many ways. Also, the schools should educate the coaches and group sponsors on the influence that the extracurricular activities have on the students’ lives. Activities are not solely about what the score is, how many wins or losses are attained during a season, or what place is won at a competition. They provide and instruct students with lessons that will last them a lifetime.Students are encouraged to take part in the extensive range of clubs and societies that schools have to offer, which take place within the lunch hour and after school.Sure, life in school is pretty interesting. You've got algebraic equations, Bunsen burners, sentence diagrams... but chances are, you've got commitments outside of school, too. Maybe you have a part time job, play in a band, are on a sports team, or do volunteer work.

its true that extracurricular activities play an important part in one's uni life.you're right i think i spend too much time away from school doing part time or hanging out.it seems that the outside world is more interesting.

I was never very active in after school activities during high school. The clubs and stuff that were offered weren't my cup of tea.

I do take some activities like this, and I was the chief of one club called "english tribe"~ During my two years taking charge of it,I learnt really lots of things in so many fields. It was really a unforgetable memory for me forever... Pity is right now I am quite busy with other things,so I have to say goodbye to my club.. anyway, really enjoy my time when staying with my lovely club :)

For me its hard to stay active in school activities, I tried during the 1st semester of my freshman year in college to at least be a part of the chorale group of our COLLEGE. I attend every meeting, rehearsal. I even get to have close friends. Unfortunately, I was really busy with my studies and I can't balance both. So, I picked my studies over my extra curricular.
