My wisdom tooth on my upper left is coming on. ....I can barely open my mouth so it is painful to talk, eat...but I can't close my mouth either because of the swelling. My left side is so swollen that I can't sleep because I usually sleep on that side. However, I do not have dental and my other wisdom teeth do not seem like they are coming out any time soon. I SHOULD get it removed...but I do not have the money right now. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm in the same position, except it's my lower left. :( The rest aren't even making an appearance. I picked up some orajel, and some painkillers, and that seems to be alright for now, but a coworker just suggested going to the university here to have dental students do it. Apparently they do it for substantially less than a regular dentist even though they're supervised by dentists during the procedure. Is that maybe an option for you, too?

You have to patient now. Sorry for the lame advice, but from my experience, it will be over once your wisdom teeth starts to visible. It's painful now, i knew that. But it will over soon. Be patient, and try to sleep on right side, if your left side is hurt. It just a matter of habit, you will get used to it.

I don't know, I don't think mine have come in yet, thankfully. I am not excited to experiance that pain. I would say take advil/tylenol for the pain and pick up some orajel to rub on there and hold you over until you can get it pulled.
